About the property

We welcome you to enjoy lots of lounging and relaxing at the cabin. All you’ll need to do it show up, settle in and you'll and start to enjoy this desert cabin.



As you enter the front gate, you will be greeted by the colors of the cabin and magic of the desert. There are private patios in the front and back, perfect for sunrise coffee and sunset cocktails. The 2 bedroom cabin (one king bed, one queen bed) has a fully equipped retro kitchen. Each room offers perfect views of the vast desert landscape, and abundant natural light. The cabin sits on 10 beautiful acres, with vast view from every angle and comfortable outdoor seating for a night of relaxing and star gazing.



Joshua Tree National Park entrance is 15 minutes away. In the artists' community of Joshua Tree, you can also explore the galleries and shops and grab a bite to eat.



Please feel free to ask us for suggestions for special trips, from rock climbing, trail riding, guided hikes and night sky viewing venues to massage, yoga, and spa treatments.









OTHER NOTES ABOUT THE PROPERTY

• Cabin Under the Stars is located about 5 miles down dirt roads, please drive with caution and arrive before nightfall when possible.



• The fireplace can NOT be used at this time



• Property The house sits on a shared 10 acre lot. You probably won’t see anyone while you’re there and the amenities are not shared but you may see people walking to and from their car to the house as they’re continuing on with their day.

We absolutely loved our stay! First, a special shoutout to the office staff at HDD who graciously allowed us to move our reservation when we encountered a sudden family emergency. Fast forward to our weekend in the desert and everything was splendid. The cabin is stunning, well kept, and so unique. The same can be said for the setting, which is so serene, even with a neighbor next door. We didn’t notice them at all. The hot tub under the stars was a special treat after a cold day in the park. We appreciate the great stay so much!

My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed this cabin! There are beautiful views of the desert and it’s about 10-15 minutes from Joshua Tree National Park. We enjoyed lying in the hammock in the desert winds and soaking in the hot tub after long hikes in the park. There is a house right next door, but it was really a non issue. A fountain in the yard drowns out most noise. The cabin is a cute artsy place in the desert, not a 5 star hotel. It was perfect for what we were doing!

We absolutely loved our stay here. The decor was so great, the place clean and comfortable, the outside space relaxing and serene, and very close to two entry points to Joshua Tree National Park. Highly recommend!

This was a great cabin with unbelievable views. It’s a little off the beaten path and a little hard to find, so try to arrive in daytime. It’s a reasonable drive to Joshua Tree National Park and to the town. My suggestion is to check all the lights when arriving. We didn’t discover that some weren’t working until we tried packing up to leave in the evening. For a small place, this had all the necessary amenities - hot shower, stove/oven, microwave. Would definitely recommend!

My wife and I loved staying at the cabin because of the view in the backyard and the front yard. Also, the fire pit and the bbq grill worked quite well and we were more than satisfied! We appreciated the maintenance of the hot tub to keep it clean so we could enjoy being in the hot tub. We liked the privacy that we had at the cabin. We would come back to that cabin and stay longer!

Adorable little place! I loved that property was fenced in for our little dog. The landscaping was amazing. Kitchen is small, bbq is huge! I really needed to get away from it all and with so much open space to explore privately, I didn’t want to leave at all once I got there for my 3 night stay. There is another, bigger house close by on the property, but it was vacant while we were there, so complete privacy. Hot tub is well maintained and I loved the propane fire pit. The place is full of light with lots of windows. One of the bedrooms does not have a door, just a curtain dividing it from the living room, but we didn’t mind that. But for anyone who is a fall risk beware the small step between the living area and bedroom. My friend tripped over that many times and I finally had to line up our coolers to block it off and ban him from going through there to the hot tub before he hurt himself. I would recommend this place if you are looking for peace and tranquility

Beautiful location, especially at sunset. The stars were beautiful. Clean, quiet, private cabin. We enjoyed our stay!
